CHALLENGE /

This exclusive residential project is located in the prime "Parks Neighborhood" of Kornet Shehwan, a gated pedestrian-friendly communal quarter that benefits from extravagant views towards the Metn valleys. Like many regions in Lebanon, the recent architectural typologies adopted in residential buildings are unfortunately haphazardous, especially in the use of materials, since design reasoning remains limited to a small number of select projects. In that respect, we envision a project that relates to the natural aspect of its surroundings, which has fortunately remained abundant due to the specific regulations in that area.

 

CONCEPT /

Six unique villas are carved out of natural stone and wood, the basic components that characterize the surroundings. Along those, greenery is used as a shading element on the southern elevations. Each 625 m² unit benefits from ample private garden spaces, upon which the kitchen and family living room open up. On the ground floor above, an open-plan reception and dining area is flooded with natural light while the upper floors house four bedroom suites.
