Casa N. is a private residence located in Al Basateen, one of Jeddah’s most sought-after residential districts. Designed for a client with a refined contemporary sensibility, the project focuses on clarity of form, material expression, and a controlled architectural language that reflects both precision and restraint.

The design adopts a minimalist approach, articulated through a composition of thin horizontal slabs that define the building’s primary geometry. These elements are clad in quartz, creating a clean and refined contrast with the textured travertine walls, whose horizontal veining reinforces the project’s strong linear identity.

This horizontality is intentionally disrupted by the introduction of vertical sun-breakers, which add depth and rhythm to the façade while enhancing environmental performance. The interplay between smooth and rough materials, as well as between horizontal and vertical elements, establishes a balanced composition—subtle yet distinctive, and aligned with the client’s contemporary vision.
