This residential project explores the design of three interconnected townhouses developed for members of the same family, requiring a careful balance between shared living and individual privacy. The brief called for a cohesive architectural language that reinforces a sense of unity while allowing each residence to function independently.
The scheme is organized around a U-shaped layout, framing a central landscaped courtyard with a shared garden and swimming pool. This internalized configuration creates a private communal heart for the family, encouraging interaction while maintaining a controlled and inward-focused spatial experience.
Privacy and spatial hierarchy are achieved through a composition of solid vertical elements and carefully positioned openings. These voids vary in scale and orientation, becoming more restrained along the street-facing façades to enhance seclusion. The contrast between the massing’s vertical articulation and the horizontal nature of the site, combined with the integration of wooden louvers, establishes a distinctive architectural identity while responding to climatic and contextual considerations.
