This project involves the transformation of an existing reception structure within a larger farmhouse estate, requiring a complete spatial and architectural reconfiguration while maintaining sensitivity to its rural context and the client’s preference for a refined, minimalist aesthetic.
The intervention focuses on adaptive reuse, preserving the structural framework of two existing buildings while redefining their function and relationship. The design introduces a new connecting volume that unifies the composition and establishes a clear spatial order across the site.
The resulting layout forms a U-shaped configuration organized around a central courtyard, which becomes the primary focal point of the project. Key functions—including the main reception, dining hall, office, and library—are oriented toward this internal space, creating a cohesive and inward-focused environment. The courtyard acts as both a visual anchor and a climatic moderator, reinforcing the project’s emphasis on simplicity, openness, and controlled interaction with its surroundings.
